Who Are We?
Write Out Loud is a poetry organization run by youths, for youths, based on Treaty 6 in Saskatoon. Each month from September to May, Write Out Loud runs a youth-accessible, free, and sober poetry show that includes an open mic specifically for young authors. WOL’s goal is to encourage and support youth poetry in Saskatoon through community bonding, workshops, and events.
Write Out Loud was the first arts community that really offered me a space of belonging. Over a decade later, poetry and the arts are my full time job and I’m so grateful for the way that this community helped direct and sustain that journey.
